Click on Advanced Search under the text box to limit by material type. Select video, audio, books, and images to retrieve primary source materials.
Library Databases
Explore ourlibrary databasesfor digital representations of primary sources. While each database has a different layout/interface, many will have the option to limit document and publication type to primary source materials. These options are often found in individual drop-down menus underAdvanced Search or grouped together in a side bar next to your retrieved results. To retrieve primary source materials, look for alternate terms like the ones listed below.

Locating Primary Research Articles in Our Library Database
Click on the orange database icon to go to the University Library A-Z Database page.
Select Academic Search Complete. You will come to ASC's search interface. Refine your database search results using limiters found in Advanced Search. This option is found below the keyword text boxes. Clicking 'Advanced Search' will provide additional options to filter your search. Locate 'Publication Type' and 'Document Type'. Here you can limit to primary source documents.
