Primary Sources

Primary Sources Are Evidence

In the humanities & the social sciences (except psychology) primary sources are the essential evidence for making our arguments & narratives (telling a story). Since they are from the time that someone created them, they reflect the cultures, people's thinking, & the attitudes of those times. They are written, oral, visual, and digital. See Humanities Primary Sources for an extensive examples list.
