       Public Opinion Quarterly 75 (1): 377-85.

In a reference list entry, the year of publication is the second element, following the author's name. Elements are separated by period. In works with multiple authors, the first author's name is usually inverted (last name first) and all the authors' names are separated by comma. Book or journal titles are italicized. Article titles are presented in roman and enclosed in quotation marks.

These nouns -- "editor", "translator", "volume" and "edition" are abbreviated. But verbs "edited by" and "translated by" are spelled out.
