How to Locate Site Reports

Site reports are foundational, primary sources of archaeological excavations that contain basic and detailed information on found artifacts and features of the site. These reports include information such as the following: site location and size, chronological placement, the extent to which the site has been excavated, as well as artifacts, maps, photographs, and more. Site reports enable archaeologists and other researchers to understand the excavations of the site over time.

Site reports can be published in books, chapters within books, journal articles, and as standalone resources or supplements.

Strategies for Locating Site Reports
