We are entering what threatens to be a difficult economic period. Like all parts of the campus, the University Library is identifying areas for potential cost-cutting in the face of a structural deficit and anticipated budget cuts from the state.
Although we do not yet have a dollar or percentage amount to cut, we are currently examining all our services and collections and evaluating the effect their loss would have on our campus.
Throughout this process, we will aim to be as collaborative and transparent as possible. For now, no definitive decisions have been made. We are providing this information as early in the decision-making process as possible to prepare the campus for the effect of any cuts.
