ArtStor Walk Through

Landing Page

When you first click the link make sure that the red box says, Sacramento State University.

Search Box

Type in the name of the artist or the piece that you are looking for in the search box.

Search Results

The search results will show up as images at the top of the page. On the side bar there is a series of section for you to filter your results.

Side Bar

The side bar has a few categories, Geography and Classification. Geography allows you to choose works by location and classification sorts the images by the medium of the works. Medium is paintings, photos, sculpture, etc.

Year Range

One other sorting tool on the side bar is the year range tool. The tool allows you to sort through photos based on a time period, for example 1800s-1900s

Image Descriptions

If you click on an image there will be more detail about it such as the medium, date, title, and size. One of the most helpful resources is the "cite this item" button.

The citation option will give you APA, MLA, or Chicago.
