Course Reserves are course-related materials such as physical books, eBooks, DVDs and other media including streaming media selected by instructors and made available for students to borrow from the University Library or access directly from a Canvas course. The reserve collection includes materials that supplement and enhance coursework, and is not intended to be used as a textbook repository. We encourage instructors to submit personal copies of materials, such as high-cost textbooks, they would like students to have access to. Course Reserve materials are non-requestable (meaning first come-first served), and are considered in-demand, high-use items.
Reserve items have shorter loan periods to facilitate sharing among students. Loan periods are assigned by instructors, and include 2-hours, 24-hours, 3-days, and 7-days. Due to demand, reserve items are located behind the 1st floor Library Service Desk, and will be retrieved by library staff upon request.
