Business Statistics of the United States
Best print source to begin to look for data because it is so comprehensive (data for about 3500 variables). Contains 80 years of data and usually lags 2 years behind the most current data available. Footnotes usually provide websites to the originator of more current data. Available at 2 North Reference HC 106.5 S9

Additional Useful Sources for Business and Economic Statistics
These are a selection of agencies that also directly publish a great deal of monthly or quarterly economic time series data. Most have a more narrow set of subjects/variables covered when compared to the resources in the box above.
BLS provides inflation, productivity, and consumer spending data as well as employment and unemployment rates. Their publication Monthly Labor Review also provides statistics.
Source for banking, interest rate, and monetary data.
Northern California Real Estate Report
Great source for monthly statistics on Sacramento (and other Northern California counties and cities) housing sales, prices, etc. Available in print at 2 North Reference HD 9715 U53 C35
The Census Bureau not only counts people, they also track a variety of business activities (international trade, residential construction, retail sales, manufacturers' shipments) as well.
