Concept Mapping Example

Search Practice

Use a database listed in the Databases box under the Journal Articles tab of this research guide to locate a scholarly article relevant to your research topic & respond to the following questions:

  • Which database did you search? What search terms did you use from your concept map?

  • Based on the title, abstract, and any subject terms, what information does this article contribute to your topic? In other words, how is the article relevant?

  • List 2-3 additional keywords that you found from this article or other search results that you can add to your concept map.

  • Identify at least one challenge that you encountered while searching for articles on your topic.
