Mission Statement: It is the mission of the Instructional Services unit to promote the use of library resources as an array of teaching/learning tools and to assist students, scholars and community users in developing and fostering information competence/literacy skills. The means to achieve this goal can be realized through a combination of instructional sessions, tours, tutorials, and online or personal consultations that allow student scholars to learn via a format that matches their individual learning style.

Information Literacy Student Learning Outcomes: The CSU system is committed to graduating students that are Information Literate/Competent; who have the research and information skills to find, evaluate, use, and communicate information in all of its various formats. The belief that these are important skills necessary in all walks of life and critical to economic and personal success are reinforced by many national and international educational associations, business leaders and accreditation agencies.
