Can I borrow a laptop from the Library?
Yes. Laptops are available for four-hour checkout at the User Services desk located on the first floor.
Currently registered CSUS Graduate and Undergraduate students who are in good standing are eligible. You must have a valid CSUS One Card with no outstanding library fines or charges.
Full details are here.
Can I write or edit my document in the Library?
Yes! Current students, faculty and staff with SacLink accounts can use Library computers which have production software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. If you log in with your SacLink login, the software will be available.
The majority of these computers are on 2North (2nd floor, north side) in the Library 2000 Lab. Additional computers can be found in the 1st floor Library Collaborative (next to Java City) and on 3rd and 4th floors.
Some computers on 1North under the escalator and 2North near the Reference Desk are Research Stations which do not have production software. They do not require a SacLink logon to activate and are available to the general public.
How do I print from a computer?
Jobs printed from the computers on the 1st floor or near the Reference Desk on the 2nd floor can only be released at a Courtesy Print Station. A Courtesy Print Station is available in the 2 North computer lab. Another Courtesy Print Station is available next to the User Services desk on the first floor.
Sac State students must log in to a computer with their SacLink account to print. Go to the Lab on 2North, the ColLab across the breezeway, or computers on the 3rd and 4th floors. Your OneCard is your print card.
Printing is 6 cents per side of page printed. Double sided printing will cost 12 cents/sheet. At the beginning of the fall and spring semesters, students are given credit for black and white computer printouts. You can add money to your card at the Library Value Transfer Station (VTS) located on the 1st floor, across from User Services.
The OneCard office is in Lassen Hall.
