    Country Snapshots provide a selection of national environment statistics, complemented by key economic and social indicators
  • Environmental Performance Index
    From the Yale Center for Environmental Law & Policy. Includes a link to country profiles. Read the FAQ's to learn what the ranking means.
  • NationMaster
    Choose the "country" tab near the top and then browse for environmental information. The data included is available elsewhere, Naionmaster does a nice job of compling and lists sources.
  • United Nations Statistical Data-Environmental Indicators
    Global environment statistics on ten indicator themes compiled from a wide range of data sources. Themes include: Air & Climate, Biodiversity, neergy & Minerals, forests, Inland Water Resources, Land & Agriculture, Marine & Coastal Areas, Natural Disasters, Waste.
  • US Energy Information Administration
    Data through 2009 by country, region, and commercial group (OECD, OPEC) for 217 countries including total and crude oil production, oil consumption, natural gas production and consumption, coal production and consumption, electricity generation and consumption, primary energy, energy intensity, CO2 emissions and imports and exports for all fuels.
  • World Bank-Environment Indicators
    Choose the indicator, then look for your country.
  • World Health Organization- Country Health Profile
    Good for a brief overview on health/mortality issues.
  • 2016 United Nations Statistical Yearbook
    The Statistical Yearbook is an annual compilation of a wide range of international economic, social and environmental statistics on over 200 countries and areas. Click on the PDF to download the book--be patient it is a long book.
