Produced by the American Psychological Association (APA), this serves as a repository for a growing selection of psychological tests and measures, including thousands of actual test instruments and test items that are available for immediate download and use in research and teaching. Coverage varies . . .
Commercially published, validated tests are protected by copyright and must be purchased from the publisher in order to use or administer them. The Library has a small Sample Test Collection of published tests. See appropriate tab above for instructions on locating these tests. Due to copyright restrictions, Published tests in our Sample Test Collection cannot be copied or taken out of the reference area.
Experimental tests, that is, tests that are not commercially published, and not copyrighted, are less restricted and in many cases may be used, revised, administered. Unpublished tests may appear in journal articles and often can be used free of charge. APA retains copyright for tests that appear in any of its journals.
It is often easier to locate a test by attribute or trait (racism, anxiety, intelligence) than a specific test by name.
